I´m sorry that I couldn´t write yesterday. Friends from all over the world who are reading my blogs asked me what I did yesterday because I didn´t write. The reason I couldn´t write is that I had some technical problems, I couldn´t get a connection to the Internet.
I went to the Zoo yesterday since I thought the last time I went to the Zoo was many years ago. Full of expectation I took my Digital Camera and drove from Steiner Street (where my home is) with the Bus to the Zoo of San Fransisco. I´m not so much excited going to the Zoo because it is not `` a `` Zoo it is ``the`` Zoo. The Zoo of San Fransisco. After thirty minutes of drive, and an amazing conversation with all the buscustomers which way I have to take after the bus., I finally found the Zoo. It is really nice and funny to sit in the bus where almost half of the people inside are tourist like me, asking for direction. At the same time it is nice to see how nice and helpfull the citizens of San Fransisco are. The entry of the Zoo is huge with a big parking lot, a lot of familys were standing on the line to payt 10 bucks to enjoy the beautiful animals that we usually can only see on TV. I took a big breafh and entered happily the mainentry. The Pelicans were the first animals I saw. Enjoing them and being happy to have the possibilty being very close to them , I descided to see the Koala bears first because they advertised them with abig poster in front of the entry. On my way there my feeling of happyniss was getting higher since I saw beautiful coloured Lovebirds and Parakees. Happy finding the Koalaplace, I could not belieo my eyes. They put the only Koalabear that the Zoo has in a small tiny cage in which this poor bear even don´t have space to jump around. Sitting on the only wood that he had in his small cage hidding his face with his tiny small hands. I really was shocked! How they can treat an animal that is even rare in such bad conditions. People was starting complaining and asking what the hell that means . In a huge Zoo where there is so much place, this poor Koala bear gets almost no space. After looking around to see other animals I was shocked, huge animals like elephants and bears only have space which is almost equal like a appartement with 74squarfeet. After taking pictures how this animals are treatend from the Zooowners of San Fransisco, I decided that I had to do something, for example write a letter to te person who is responsible.
On the way home, I met a 58 years old man who grew up in San Fransisco, and mentioned the bad Condition of the Zoo. This man wasn´t suprise insteat he told me half of the citizen of San Fransisco know the condition of the Zoo, and that he already wrote two letters to the responsible of the Zoo, but notrhing happend , so he canceled like his friend his membership . He was before a member of the Zoo, fighting 25 years for the health of the animals.Ten years later he and the member of the ZOO were fighting for to get more space for the Zoo so that the animals can get more space. After fighting two year to get land from the state the responsible of the Zoo made a huge parking lot. There goal was to get more customer in order to make more money. This man told me that he did everything what he could able to do,but without success. Since that he stopped going to the Zoo.

Since the war against Iraq started people in San Fransisco demonstrate.
For two days ago the police put 1300 demonstrater in Jail. David , Alex and I , we went there today to to discover the beauty and the treasure of Asia. First we learned that the word Asia covers more countries than we thought. Asia covers all these countries: Afgahnistan, Indien,Kazachtan Pakistan, Nepal, Burma, Cambotcha, Vietnam, Laos, Malaysia, Indonesian, Thailand, Philippine, China, Mongolai, Singapore, North Kore, South Korea, and Japan.
We learned today about the History of the different Religions for example about Budhisme, Hinduisme etc. Interesting is that one Religion is the outcome of the other and when centuries was passing these Religions become a own total seperate Religion. Best example is the reliion of Buddha, which originally comes from India and spread until Japan. But today Japanese people have their own way to practice Buddihsme and their sculpture of Buddah vary from those of India.
It was a very good experience and it was worth to visit the asian museum of art.
for more information link to: www.asienart.org

my first day in silicon valley today two friends of mine, Simon Perry and David Galbraith
and I , we went to Google to visit Thomas Korte, a friend of us, who works at Google as International Product Manager. After one hour drive in a Ford Mustang Convortable from San Fransisco downtown to Silicon Valley we arrived finally at Google. My first impression of the Google buildings : I was disappointed. No fancy skyscraper instead the buildings are flat and it seems to me like normal boring houses full of black and white dressed workers in their boring offices. But as soon I enterd the mainbuilding where we had to register ourself I was suprised. I felt like I´m entering a living room of a normal hostfamily who invited us. On the right side of the mainentry there are two big red couches and on the left side there are a piano and a massagechair which was extra imported from Japan and everywhere were this colourful lavalamps. It was lunch time so many googleworkers were passing us to take their lunch, dressed like highschool students. I was amazed how jung and international the employees of Google are . Most of the employees are between 23 and 34 years, coming from all over the world and working for one company and for one goal. As we were passing the cubicals where one to maximum three people worked in it, I was impressed by all the pictures that were hanging on the walls . Most of the picture were taken at the last barbecue party of Google, and one could tell that this employees really enjoyed beeing there and taken their familys with them. oh not to forget to mention, this one women , who was driving with her professional running bike to her cubical and she couldn´t understand that I was looking at her with big open eyes. I mean this woman just drives sweady in her short bikingpants and acts like if this is the general way to start working. That´s different between USA and Germany. ANd I like it, it´s nice to see that men and women can work in a easy going and relax workingatmosphäre. After being ten minutes at Google we saw the maybe famous artdesigner in the world, it´s (Part 2 is coming soon)

after searching for an adaquat and easy to remember name I finally found: tochi.blogspot.com
